PC Health Critic Participates in Optometry Day
AYLMER – This morning, Ontario PC Health Critic, MPP Jeff Yurek, Elgin-Middlesex-London, joined Dr. Johan Gall & Dr. Rachel Hurst as part of Optometry Day.
“This morning I had the pleasure to visit and observe the day-to-day work of Dr. Gall’s practice in Aylmer. Optometry Day allowed me a tiny glimpse into the excellent care provided by optometrist and their staff. I wish to thank Dr. Gall, Dr. Hurst and all of the staff for inviting me to their office.” stated Ontario PC Health Critic, Jeff Yurek.
The Ontario Association of Optometrist have asked members to host MPP’s across the riding in their local practices to give them the opportunity to see the day-to-day operations of an optometrist and show the value of eye health and vision care in Ontario.
“It was a pleasure to have a chance to host Jeff Yurek” says Dr. Johan Gall. “Providing services to a broad range of people in this community, from toddlers to seniors, is a point of pride both for me and for those who work with me in my practice. It was an honour to be able to show this through our Optometry Day event.”
“Eye disease and vision loss affect the health and quality of life of millions of people across the province. Optometrists play an important role in our health care system. They are an accessible health care provider ensuring world class care” concluded Yurek
